A day at the beach in Australia inevitably means swimming between the flags patrolled by lifeguards also known as the incredible people who patrol our beaches and keep us beachgoers, safe. These guys are warriors in board shorts! Honestly, what would we do without them! This is a series of photographs celebrating their dedication and hard work in keeping our lives safe whilst risking their own. On some days, the water conditions can be very treacherous and pulling people out of the roaring ocean with dumping waves needs to be a calculated exercise. When bad rips are present in the water, hundreds of rescues can take place in just one day! The demands of the job are many and these amazing people are trained and ready to rescue anyone in need and they don't mind a chat either!
