Our People, Our Wealth...

As we prepare to celebrate Australia Day, let us take a moment to reflect on what this genuinely means for each of us. Some might cherish the vast array of beauty this land has to offer, whilst others might ponder and be thankful for the freedoms we enjoy. Personally, my love for Australia runs deep! She treats me ever so gracefully every single day with her delicious night skies and dewy mornings....not to mention her fabulous Queensland storms and mind boggling wildlife! So much treasure packed together on one big rock!

What makes Australia also unique and very special is her people! On this great big and beautiful continent of ours, we indeed stand upon the shoulders of giants! From our first people, whose wealth of knowledge of this land is unmatched and who are the real custodians of the secrets she holds, to the throngs of people who now call Australia home whilst hailing from distant lands. Some of our people have even fought wars to preserve the very freedoms we enjoy today. It was my immense honour to meet one of these heroes, Doug. A war veteran of 95 years young, perhaps... but that's not everything that defines him! He is also an amazingly loyal husband, a dedicated family man and an absolute legend! Kind, funny, fiercely independent and very welcoming are just some of the beautiful attributes that he embodies! So please, without further ado, meet Doug!
